Feedback on our Film Opening
We decided to get feedback on our film opening for what we can improve next time we do course work. we told the respondents what words they needed to know such as enigma and also told them we didn't want them to be bias towards us but to be truthful with what they thought about the opening so we could learn and improve more. This helped us to highlight what we could improve and changes needed within our work. Doing this helped them to show us an understanding of the feedback to which we would get from our target audience and how they felt about our film opening and ideas for 'Educating Katie'.

Educating Katie
Film Opening-
After our 1st edit, we had fixed and changed all the problems that had actually been found within the edit and when finalising our final edit we solved them all successfully.
If I was to do the film opening again, I would definitely plan to be more organised and back up all work/shots when possible and after every day of shooting. As we came across our shots had been lost and couldn't be recovered, when filming again we have learnt from this and will also back up when needed.
I would also consider the research side of our film opening to be much more developed, doing this will allow us to gain a wider knowledge of the genre. I feel that although we done loads of research before producing the film opening, it may have helped to gain further amounts of information and research.
Lastly, lighting is a big aspect to any film/film opening. I feel as though we didn't focus enough on this when producing 'Educating Katie' as we could have done. If i was to redo the process of filming the opening I would take into account the lighting more, to make some shot more brighter than they are and to improve the focus/quality.

Educating Katie 1st Edit
Evaluation of our first edit-
The first obstacle we came across when filming for our film opening, happened to be that our filming was lost due to difficulty with technology. This happened due to the fact that we used our home camera for the first filming and that we had some problems with the camera. We found that we had lost all of the filming that we had already done and we had to re-film all of the shots. This made us learn to back-up the shots after every filming session due to the fact that it could get lost again. Saving it twice on two computers allowed us to ensure that we would never lose the shoots again.
Once we had finished editing our first edit of 'Educating Katie' we found that the film opening was too short and that we would have to make up some more shots to have the acceptable time for our time opening. This was because we hadn't planned our story board 100% successfully and found that some shots were shorter than we had planned for them to be.
Lastly, we found that the music used wasn't acceptable for the film opening either as it was a copyrighted popular music track. This stumped us massively as we through that the track chosen was perfect for our film opening, but after changing it and looking further into other tracks we found that we could have a changed, un-copyrighted version of the track which would be suitable for our film opening.
We found that our titles had not been planned very well. We noticed this when re-editing and watching over that we had not ordered the titles in the way we had planned too and also that we had included two "produced by" titles. This is not what we had planned to do and meant that we would have to reorder the titles and even some shots.
